Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil

I saw this beauty oil several weeks ago and was very interested to try it. At £7.99, it was a little more than I would like to spend especially for just 150ml of product. Anyway, I finally bought it at the weekend and have been using it every day since so as to give a proper review.

The bottle has a handy spray dispenser so you don't accidentally use too much! There is a pleasant scent off the oil, it's indescribable really but it is a nice scent, I think I may be a little addicted to it actually! Ever since I started using it, my skin has never felt so moisturised or looked so healthy. Also, I have been wearing a bit of fake tan and it has not budged one bit or gone patchy, so it's great for prolonging your tan as well! i really hate the stickiness of moisturisers. This doesn't feel sticky at all and is described on the bottle as non-transferrable, which so far i definitely agree with.

My overall opinion of this product is very high, it seems that everyone is oil crazy at the moment, but I really think that this little gem it definitely worth the price and you can really see the results. It is a little pricey though, and you can see that I have used quite a lot of mine already. On feel unique.com they sell for £6.80 a bottle. I'll definitely be re-purchasing this!!

MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter Powder

I heard quite a lot about this little powder, so I couldn't resist buying it to try it out. First of all, it was only £3.00 but I think it looks really expensive and luxurious. Very impressive.

Now, I currently have one highlighter which is Benefit High Beam, and to be quite honest, I don't like it and I never wear it. So I was on the lookout for a nice but subtle highlighter, and one which was easy and convenient to apply. I am really impressed by this powder, especially considering how cheap it is compared to Benefit High Beam.

I think it looks very nice on! MUA have really outdone themselves this time! If you can get your hands on this, I highly recommend that you buy it. Not only is it very reasonable, it is a really nice highlighter and you get a lot of product for your money. I love it!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour - 24k Gold

This lovely cream eyeshadow really caught my eye while I was in Superdrug yesterday. The colour is just so unusual, I have never seen anything like it before!

I blended a coppery shade from my Kat Von D palette into the crease, and with a bit of eyeliner and mascara I think this is a really nice, dramatic look.

It's not really a colour that I would normally wear, but I really do like this! I could imagine wearing this one a lot during summer!

Nails of the Day - OPI I Don't Give a Rotterdam

I found this polish on sale in Sally's for £3.64. It's a nice blue-grey, with a little shimmer. I am very impressed so far, been wearing it for two days and no chips yet! I don't really believe in buying expensive nail polishes, and this is my first ever OPI. I really like it, I might have to go out and buy more!

My niece does my make up!

Would you let an 11 year old do your make up?

This is my niece Orlagh. I have absolutely no make up on in this photo, so Orlagh is going to start from the very beginning. She has complete control over my make up bag, I am not going to help her whatsoever! Here are the products she has chosen..

Catrice Prime and Fine
Collection Cover and Go Foundation
Sleek Luminous Powder
Sleek Brow Kit
Benefit Erase Paste
Essence Stay All Day cream eyeshadow (For Fairies)
Catrice Made to Stay cream eyeshadow (Lord of the Blings)
Clinique Brush On Liner
Essence Vintage Boutique Blush
Benefit lipstick (Jing-a-Ling)
Avon Supershock Mascara
Avon Glimmerstick (Sugar Plum Fairy)

 Foundation is complete!
With blush

She used the Essence eyeshadow as a base, the Catrice eyeshadow in the crease, and also blended a little bit of the Avon Glimmerstick into the crease! Very clever!

With eyeliner and mascara!

 The finished look!

So what do you think? Not bad, eh?! Orlagh wants to be a make up artist when she is older! Even at this young age you can see she has a natural talent at make up application. I wonder how many people would know that an 11 year old did my make up if I wore this out for the day?

China Glaze - Tempest

I got this lovely nail polish in Sally's today! The consistency was really watery, it took four coats to look like this. But I love it, it reminds me of beetles! It's a kind of iridescent blue, it shows up as purple in certain lights (like my photos).

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation

I was dying to try this foundation since i heard it was a good dupe for YSL Touche Eclait Foundation, which I have never tried. I got it in Boots today for £8.99 in the shade Nude.

The consistency is quite thin, and a lot lighter than what I normally wear, but I have to say that I absolutely love this foundation!

This is with no foundation on..

And this is with the foundation on..

I can't really describe how this foundation looks, it gave me a really glowy, healthy look! I am so impressed with it! I love how it makes my skin look.

The only thing I do not like is how it is in a glass bottle! It's always difficult when the bottle is nearly done getting the last few applications out! For £8.99 you can't really complain. I will definitely be re-purchasing this!

Nails of the Day

I love this polish! Sally Hensen Gem Crush in the shade Showgirl Chic. I used a silver polish underneath and just one generous coat of the Gem Crush.

Essence Collection - Oz the Great and Powerful

Well, i guess it's easy to see that I love Essence cosmetics right now and I have a lot of their products. I just found out they are releasing this lovely collection to coincide with the release of the new Disney film, Oz the Great and Powerful!

I can't wait to try out the Cream blush! Apparently it has a pump dispenser, it will be really interesting to see what this product is like. The only disappointing thing is while the colours of the nail polishes are all absolutely beautiful, they are just crackle-effect toppers which I am not really all that fussed one. I wish they were just normal polishes!  This collection will be coming out at the end of March.

The Wizard of Oz is my favourite film of all time! I cannot wait to see Oz the Great and Powerful, and I am also going to see Wicked when it comes to the BGE Theatre in Dublin!

MUA Lip Boom Review

I have had the MUA Lip Boom for a while in my make up bag. I thought it was about time I reviewed it!

These lipstick/lipgloss combos cost £3.00 in Superdrug. I chose the shade Doin' Good as I thought it was the most neutral. I think the packaging is lovely and it's a very handy item to stick in your handbag.

I have to say this is the driest lipstick I have ever tried in my life. It is a little difficult to apply and not very comfortable to wear. Below is what the lipstick looks like alone...

So next I am applying the gloss over the lipstick. The lipgloss smells absolutely amazing - like vanilla. It is very glittery and quite pigmented.

The glitter particles in the lipgloss are quite chunky and as such you can feel it gritty on your lips. But I love the look of the two products together. For a very reasonable £3.00, it is a handy little product even though I don't think it is the best. I would like to try a more striking colour next time, there is a nice red one which would be very nice for a dramatic look!
